Jerry Lee Bell, age 81, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024. Born on June 1, 1942, in Portland, IN, he was the son of the late Lewis and Anna Irene (Brunson) Bell. Jerry answered his country’s call and honorably served in the United States Navy as a boiler operator. He worked for Zollner Pistons as a machinist for over 38 years until retirement. He also went to college to become a maintenance technician. Jerry was an accountant, great money manager, and “a wiz with numbers.” When not working, Jerry enjoyed watching TV and movies. He was an avid reader and loved books. Above all, he loved his family. He will remembered as a humorous and witty person, and a life-long coffee drinker. Jerry will be missed by family and friends alike. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Judith Bell; daughter, Deb (Larry) Tigner; sons, Mike (Dawn) Bell and Darrin (Jessica) Bell; grandchildren, Tracee (Ryan) Bush, Christopher Tigner, Nicole, Brittany, Brandon, Jeremy (Melissa), Lindsay (Brian), Joseph and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Jacob (Katelynn), Lilian, Judith, Gabe, Mia, Braxton, Grayson, Mera Mae, and Leonardo; brother, Lewis (Ruth) Bell; and sister, Martha Godleski; and several nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in passing by his parents; sisters, June Marie, Janie, Mary, Lucille, and Kate; and brothers Bud and Fred. No services are planned at this time.
