December 2, 1937 – March 4, 2025
Adrian C. Hartman, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday, March 4, 2025. He was born December 2, 1937, the eldest son of the late Frank and Catherine (Rorick) Hartman. Adrian was married to Charlene (Nash) Hartman for 65 years until her passing in January, 2022.
He attended St. Peter Catholic Grade School, Our Lady of the Lake Seminary, and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1955. After graduation, Adrian enlisted in the Air National Guard, serving for 11 years before working as a systems analyst and retiring in 1999 from Raytheon (Magnavox) after 31 years with the company. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council #11353. Adrian was a fan of Notre Dame football and basketball, an avid golfer that enjoyed playing with his CC friends, enjoyed his Land Cruise adventures with Charlene, spending time with his family, and building benches for his great-grandchildren.
Adrian is survived by his children; Kevin (Teresa) Hartman, Christopher (Molly) Hartman, Cheryl (Michael) Fisher, Keith (Kimberlyn) Hartman, Coleen (Matthew) Houlihan, 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings; MaDonna Roy and Sr. Karen Hartman, S.F.P. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lynn Hartman and Gerald Hartman; sister, Judith Amburgey and two great-grandchildren, Tyler Matthew Landstoffer and Nora Anne Hartman.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am Tuesday March 11, 2025 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Rd. with visitation from 10-11am in the church. Visitation also Monday 5-8pm at Divine Mercy Lake Avenue Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. with the Rosary at 4:30pm. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. The family's preferred memorials are Masses or to St. Vincent de Paul Society of Fort Wayne, online at https://svdpsfw.org, or by mail to 1600 S. Calhoun St, Fort Wayne, IN 46802.
