Alexis Mary Lee Moore, 42, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024. Born on February 12, 1982, Alexis was the cherished daughter of Robin Moore and John Smart Sr. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois, where she graduated from Hyde Park High School. In her early years, Alexis was a talented rapper, captivating audiences in various venues across the Fort Wayne area. Her passion for music and her vibrant performances left a lasting impression on all who saw her. Alexis accepted Christ at New Heights Baptist Church and carried her faith throughout her life. She built a successful career as a telemarketer, excelling in her field, and was eventually inspired to pursue entrepreneurship with her company, Mammoth Lead Gen. Her strong work ethic and determination were evident in everything she did, especially as a devoted mother to her five children. Alexis instilled in them a deep sense of self-worth, always expressing how proud she was of each of them. Known for her great sense of humor, generous spirit, and enormous heart, Alexis touched the lives of many. She was forever grateful to her parents, who consistently encouraged her to think positively and follow her dreams. Alexis' memory will be lovingly cherished by her life partner of over 10 years, Reggie Edwards, and her children: Malik, Shaniyah, Emani, IaLia, and Davon. She was also a proud grandmother to three beautiful grandchildren. Alexis is survived by her siblings, Pierre and Paris Moore, Quentin Shelby, Johnna Smart, and John Smart Jr., along with a host of extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply. Alexis was blessed to have the loving guidance and support of her stepmother, Amanda B. Smart, throughout her life. She was also surrounded by the care of numerous aunts and uncles, including Mattie Moore, Bertha Smith, Ann Jordan, Richard Smart, Larry Smart, Gary Moore, Robert Lee Moore, Michael Moore, Aslean Sumling, Martha Smart, Laura Smart, Patrice Smart, and Patricia Smart. Alongside them, a host of other cherished relatives and friends mourn her passing and celebrate the impact she had on their lives.
