I am so sad to hear of Al’s passing. For years, he was my dad’s paint expert at Norm’s, which carried forward into my adult years. When he went to Connolly’s, I followed. Nobody was better! I so enjoyed spending time talking about colors with Al. He had a passion for color and I truly think he could talk for hours about it. One of my favorite conversations was about when he went up North and saw the Northern lights. He described a shade of blue that he saw that amazed him. Since that experience, he attempted many times to duplicate that shade of blue by playing with different mixes of colors, but just couldn’t quite get it (which surprised me because Al could match anything). He gave that one up to God as the only creator of such a beautiful shade. It touched me how moved he was by such beauty. It also touched me how the simple things made him happy. He was such an amazing person and I felt total peace and comfort every time I was around him. Peace to Al and to the hearts of the loved ones he left behind. God bless!

Allen and our Father worked with each other for years in the paint industry. They had a mutual respect and admiration for each other that is seldom seen in today\'s world. As with our Father, we are sure that Allen will be missed greatly by his children and grandchildren. We are positive that Allen\'s legacy will live on within each of them. The world will miss Allen\'s smile and the gentleness in which he carried himself on a daily basis. Our deepest condolences. The Dennis Girardot Family

My thoughts are with Allen’s family. It is so painful to lose someone, yet no one else can really know all that you feel except our Heavenly Father. He knows and feels your pain. He calls death an enemy and promises to remove it forever, Isaiah 25:8 “And he will swallow up death forever…” He also promised to wake up all our loved ones, in the memorial tombs, from death (Isaiah 26:19). What joy it will be to see our loved ones again and to enjoy life as our Creator purposed (Psalms 145:16). I  hope these words give all of you comfort.
