Anita Ruth Alderfer, age 72, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital. Born on April 13, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Lois Alderfer. Anita was raised in Fort Wayne and was a graduate of Central High School. She worked most recently at Wayne Recreation for over 10 years. When not working, Anita enjoyed reading, crocheting, and traveling with her sister, Betty. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Betty Alderfer and Janet Heintzelman; and her brother, Earl Alderfer. Anita was preceded in death by her parents; and life partner of 35 years, David Parmenter. Memorials can be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. No services will be held at this time.
