Audrey Roy, age 99, of Fort Wayne, IN passed peacefully away on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at St. Anne's Home. Born on July 19, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Julia (Ryan) Roy. Audrey was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, class of 1944 and earned her bachelor's degree from the University of St. Francis in 1949. She worked as an elementary school teacher in Fort Wayne for over 6 years and later as a claims representative for the Social Security Administration for 30 years until her retirement. She was also a member of the American Federation of Government Workers (AFGE). When not working, Audrey enjoyed taking care of her pets, as she was truly an animal lover. She also enjoyed tending to the flowers in her yard and spending time with friends, going to dinner or the movies.

Faith was important to Audrey, and she was a long-time member of both St. Paul's Immaculate Conception and Queen of Angels Catholic Churches. She taught catechism classes at St. Paul's for many years.

Left to cherish her memory her cousins, Richard (Lucille) Ryan, Emma "Shelley" (Greg) Haines, and Sean Ryan; goddaughter, Jane (Earl) Gehron; godson, David Renner; and special friends, Leesa Kern, Jackie Paulsel, Jeni Bastian, Janice Leach, Carrie Hill, Hildegard Hofacker, and Joy Pond. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Louis Roy; cousins, L. John (Trudy) Ryan and Virginia Page; and numerous aunts and uncles.

A Mass of Christian Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church, 15535 Lincoln Hwy. East, New Haven, IN 46774 with visitation and a Rosary one hour prior. Burial will follow the service at St. Louis Besancon Cemetery.
