Barbara A. Kleinhans, 86, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Cedarhurst of Fort Wayne.  She was born October 16, 1937, to the late George and Vera (Allagreen) Trombley. At age 7, she moved to Romeo, Michigan where she grew up on a farm. She learned to drive a tractor at the age of 7.  She milked cows in the mornings and then walked a mile and a half to a one-room schoolhouse that served 1st through 8th grades.  There were never more than 15 kids in her school and one year there were only 5! After the 8th grade, she attended Romeo High School.  After high school, Barbara attended Western Michigan College and became a Speech Pathologist.  In 1979 Barbara attended Cooley Law School in Lansing Michigan and in 1983 passed the bar exam.  She continued her work as a speech pathologist, but also worked with senior citizens providing law services pro bono.  Barbara is survived by her daughter Lori (Greg) Troutner, granddaughter Jessica (Marc) Levine and great granddaughter Nicole Levine. She was preceded in death by her daughter Jill Kleinhans.
