In Loving Memory of Belete Yalew Nigussie
Belete Yalew Nigussie, of Fort Wayne, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025. He was born on July 14, 1982, in Gonder, Ethiopia.
Belete was a dedicated worker, employed as a stocker at Walmart, known for his strong work ethic. But more than anything, he was a loving father to two children and a devoted husband. He was a kind and caring soul who loved people and was always willing to help others. He took great care of his brother and sister, supporting their education and well-being. As a handyman, he was always ready to lend a helping hand with any task or need.
His warmth, support, and compassion touched everyone around him, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
A funeral mass will be held to celebrate his life on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Saint Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church, Crescent Ave., Fort Wayne. Following the church service, there will be a procession to the Catholic Cemetery for his final resting place at approximately 12 p.m.
After the interment, everyone is invited to gather again at Saint Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church for a meal of Gutter and to pray for his soul and the food during a heartfelt repast, embracing fellowship and remembrance.
