“Bee” Cielec
September 22, 1937 – June 18, 2024
Bernice M. "Bee" (Kapuscinski) Cielec, 86, of Fort Wayne and formerly of Cleveland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at St. Anne Home. She was born September 22, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of (the late) Anthony & Bernice (Bergel) Kapuscinski and was part of a large Polish Catholic family. In 1958, she married the love of her life, Bernard "Ben" Cielec who preceded her in death in 1983, shortly after celebrating 25 years of marriage. As a stay-at-home mom, Bernice was a Girl Scout Leader and loved to cook, crochet and sew her daughters matching dresses. She was the office manager of Fine Line Design, later Interlock Corporation, in the Cleveland area for over 27 years before retiring and moving to be near her family in Fort Wayne. Bernice's heart was always with her family, with whom she loved to spend time. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo parish. Bernice is survived by her brother Bob (Susan) Kapuscinski of Strongsville, Ohio, daughters, Debbie (Dave) Stevens and Jacqui (Mark) Russett of Fort Wayne, grandchildren Corinne of Austin, Texas, Benjamin, Alexandra and David Stevens of Fort Wayne, and Anna of Chicago, Illinois, Anthony (Macy) of Fort Wayne, and Andrea Russett of Los Angeles, great granddaughter, Leilani Rose Stevens of Austin, Texas, several cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Friday, June 28, 2024, in St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd, Fort Wayne, IN with visitation from 9:30-10:30 in the church. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, 14906 Brookpark Rd, Brook Park, OH with Graveside Committal Service at 1:00pm Saturday, June 29, 2024. Arrangements through Divine Mercy Lake Avenue Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. Fort Wayne, IN.
