Roberta A. "Bobbi" Brazelton, 83, of Fort Wayne, died peacefully at home on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Bobbi was born in Fort Wayne, IN on December 14, 1940, the daughter of (the late) H. Joseph and Catherine (Klug) Schenkel. She graduated from Central Catholic High School with the Class of '58 and continued her studies at Indiana University and The University of St. Francis.

In addition to her parents, Bobbi was also preceded in death by her brother, Jerry (Conda) Schenkel. She is survived by her son, Dieter Brazelton of Delaware, OH; her sister, Mary Kay Morrow of Brooksville, FL; brothers, George (Kathy) Schenkel, and Joe (Kathy) Schenkel, both of Clear Lake, IN; as well as an abundance of nieces and nephews.

Bobbi was a caring and loving mother, sister, and aunt. She had a remarkable way of connecting with people, touching their lives, and holding a special place in the hearts of just about everyone she met. She wore her independence like a badge of honor and was a true warrior in all of life's battles to the very end. She was an impressive encyclopedia of knowledge when it came to telling stories or remembering life events, regardless of how much time had passed. She thoroughly enjoyed nature. Sitting at her kitchen table looking out at her backyard woods was her happy place. She was so proud of her family, cherishing all the time spent together.

Bobbi started a late career after the age of 50, and retired from City Utilities after working more than 10 years with the company. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Parish.

Funeral Mass 11:00am Friday December 13, 2024 in St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Rd. with visitation from 10-11am in the church. Memorials may be directed to Masses or to the donor's preferred charitable organization.
