Brian D.
Swing
March 3, 1965 – April 30, 2026
Brian Dean Swing, 61, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born March 3, 1965, to the late Max and Wilma (Roth) Swing, who survives. Brian grew up in Fort Wayne and graduated from Homestead High School in 1983. For 16 years, he served as a quality manager at Quikcut, where he was valued for his dedication, kindness, and the quiet pride he took in doing things the right way.
In his everyday life, Brian found happiness in the things he loved most—watching his Purdue basketball team, enjoying time on the golf course, and joining in a good game of basketball, always with a playful competitive spirit. He especially enjoyed traveling with his wife, Becky, and with friends, and he gladly took dance lessons with Becky, making memories they both treasured. Above all, Brian loved his family deeply and held close the moments they shared, especially time spent with his grandson, Holden. He also adored his two pugs, Joey and Chandler, who brought him so much comfort and joy. To so many, Brian was “everybody’s best friend”—warm, welcoming, and always ready to make you feel like you belonged.
Those who will lovingly carry Brian’s memory forward include his wife of 23 years, Becky Swing; his sons, Jordan (Whitney) Swing, Samuel (Emma) Waters, and Benjamin (Emily) Waters; his grandson, Holden; his mother, Wilma Swing; his siblings, Ronda Swing, Kevin (Sheila Smith) Swing, Gary Swing, Shari (Keith) Park, and Jason (Mary) Swing; his sister-in-laws; and many nieces and nephews. Brian was preceded in death by his father, Max Swing.
A funeral service to honor Brian’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805, with visitation one hour prior.
