It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carl Woodrow Burkhardt, who left us peacefully on November 22, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on May 2, 1936, in Allentown, PA, to Raymond and Emma (Bealer) Burkhardt. Carl was a proud American who lived a life full of purpose and love. He served his country faithfully and is a veteran of the US Army.

Carl was a dedicated welder, making his mark in the truck manufacturing industry with Mack Trucks. His craftsmanship was a testament to his character, he took pride in every job he undertook and always lent a helping hand.

A man of few words but great wisdom, Carl touched the lives of many through his hard work and kind spirit. Some of Carl's hobbies include hunting deer, pheasants, and rabbit as well as spending time with his grandchildren and following their sports. He enjoyed playing fastpitch softball and basketball, and planting his vegetable garden every year.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rose A. (Pilolli) Burkhardt, his son, Scott C. (Jennifer) Burkhardt, and his daughter, Kelly A Burkhardt. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Ashley, Kristina, and Anna, and great grandchildren Barrett and Cooper. To Carl, family meant everything, and they will forever cherish the memories they created together. Carl was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held on Friday, November 28, 2026, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home-Cedar Canyons, 1986 W. Cedar Canyons Rd., Huntertown, IN 46748. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm. The funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm following the visitation. There will be additional funeral service and burial in Allentown, PA at a later date. We will update with the funeral service schedule in Allentown, PA when the scheduling is completed.
