Christina Mae Johnson, 65, of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025.

She was born in Fort Wayne on May 2, 1960, to the late Eugene and Virginia Runser.

On October 26, 2010, in Fort Wayne, she married the love of her life, Jeffrey Johnson.

Christina retired in 2015 from Indiana Medical Associates. She also worked at Don Hall's Restaurants for over 20 years, where she made many lasting friendships.

Christina courageously battled cancer for four years, remining strong, positive, and faithful throughout her journey. She faced every challenge with grace and determination, never losing her sense of humor or love for life. Her unwavering faith and deep love for her family gave her strength, and she was an inspiration to everyone who knew her.

In her free time, Christina cherished every moment spent with her family. She loved watching her grandchildren's sporting events and activities as she was their biggest fan. She also enjoyed having her grandchildren and great- grandchildren over to hang out, often ending the evening gathered around a fire making s'mores and sharing stories. Christina looked forward to her annual girls' trips with her closest friends. She developed a love of bingo from her mother and enjoyed taking the occasional trip to the casino for fun. Throughout the years, Christina enjoyed being part of ladies' softball teams and bowling leagues, and she shared many rounds of golf riding along with her husband.

Christina is survived by her husband, Jeffrey; daughters, Amy (Derrick) Gepfert and Kara (Paul) Alvarado; grandchildren, Alyssa, Sierra, Joshua, Emanuel, Ava, and Ella; three great-grandchildren; and siblings, Linda Neuhaus, Jenny (Dean) Knight, Anna Runser, and Mary E. Campbell.

Also preceding her in death were siblings Gene Runser and David Runser.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 2213 Brooklyn Avenue, with calling from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Calling will also be Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, with the recitation of the Most Holy Rosary at 3:45 p.m. Burial will follow the Funeral Mass in Catholic Cemetery.
