Christina J. Rice, 52, of Harlan, passed away at her home on Tuesday November 28, 2023, surrounded by her family. Christy was an Inpatient/Observation Authorization Team Member at Parkview, an association that spanned 32 years with the hospitals. She loved her work and enjoyed meeting people, but she was devoted to her family and cherished the times with her children and grandchildren. She was energetic, loving and fun; she loved the lake, and she loved the beach, anywhere there was sun and water.

Christy is survived by Kris Rice, her husband of 26 years, and their children, Ashley (Chris) Messmann of McCordsville, Joe (Paige) Rice of New Haven and Kyle (Raven Glover) Rice of Woodburn; grandchildren, Remington, Theo, Sebastian and Elliot Messmann, Makenzee Rody, Brinley and Hunter Rice, Bellamy Rice, (and Holden Rice, "on the way"), along with Aiden Glover, Carter, Orion and Juliam Miller and Michael Atkinson; her parents, Thomas (Sara) Stine of Kokomo, Barbara Fye-Johnson of Woodburn; mother-in-law, Dorla Rice of Ft. Wayne; sisters, Misty (Billy) Brown and Jennifer (Jason) Garrison, both of Fort Wayne. Christy was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Harold Rice.

Visitation for Christy is Friday, December 1, 2023 from 11:00am-2:00pm and 4:00-7:00pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. Funeral Services to follow at 7:00pm Friday in the funeral home.
