Cynthia Louise
Stuck
July 8, 1948 – September 18, 2025
Cynthia "Cindy" L. Stuck (Renz) died peacefully at her home on Witmer Lake on September 18, 2025, at the age of 77. "Grandma Lake, Mom, or Babe," as she was known by those of us closest to her, lived a full and love-filled life. Her best days were spent surrounded by family and friends on the porch, taking cruises on the pontoon, telling stories, and sharing her life. She created happy memories for everyone she met. We will never forget her homemade noodles, goodie bags, or the many times hanging out at any hour of day or night. Always the planner, she thought about holidays months ahead of time and was the best gift-giver because of the care she placed into picking out just the right thing. She still sent cards by snail mail and selflessly thought of other people first. We are all better and more loving for knowing her.
She enjoyed taking mini-road trips to see new places or visit family. She cooked with love and would often bring her famous potato soup or egg salad just to make sure everyone had something to eat. She went grave-hunting with her grandson and watched movie marathons with her granddaughter. She was the "go-to" for "who you gonna call." She attended every ball game, performance, graduation, wedding, funeral, family reunion or other special event without compromise. We marveled at her creativity to play a practical joke, whip up dinner, and throw a softball backwards.
"Grandma Lake" was born on July 8, 1948, in Huntington, Indiana, and graduated from Huntington Catholic High School in 1966. She married Patrick A. Stuck on October 2, 1992. She retired as an administrative assistant from Northeast Indiana Association of Realtors in Kendallville after working at several other jobs including Maloley's Bakery and Neutraman in Fort Wayne.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Glenwood W. Renz and Mary R. Renz (Eckert); her sister, Rita (Renz) Creech. She is survived by her husband, Patrick Stuck; her children, Teresa "Teri" Beam (Jon) and Brian Elick (Jean); her grandkids, Martina and Isaac Beam; her siblings, Steve Renz (Barb), Tom Renz (Kelley), and John Renz (Ann); and many other close family and friends.
