Daniel E Carmona, 80, of Fort Wayne died August 29, 2021, peacefully at home. Daniel was born August 27, 1941 in Fort Wayne, and was the son of the late Ross and Mildred Carmona and a graduate of Central Catholic High School. He served our country in the U S Navy, as an aerial photographer aboard the U. S. S. Wasp and continued to serve our community as a Fort Wayne police officer for 20 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of St Jude Catholic Church and was an avid photographer and chili pepper gardener. Daniel is survived by his children, Christopher R (Laurie Scribner) Carmona, Anthony W Carmona, Heather (David Holland) Holly and Danielle (Ronald) Gibson; 6 grandchildren. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah J Carmona, son, Daniel Carmona, step-son Christopher Holly. Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave with calling from noon to 2 pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
