David Alan Klotz, passed on February 10, 2026, at the age of 80 with his loving wife by his side. David was born in Fort Wayne on March 23, 1945, was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves He retired from Navistar (International Harvester) after 30 years of service.  He and his wife Linda owned Linda Lou's Furniture.  David was a devoted family man and loved being with his grandchildren showing his playful personality while enjoying his time with them.  He knew no strangers and had a warm welcome to all, enjoying time and conversation with all of those he met.  David enjoyed spending time at the lake and being the captain of his pontoon talking to all that passed by or joining him on the deck to relax.  He had a passion for shooting pool and a deep appreciation for the art of the game.

David is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Linda; son, Jason (Maureen) Klotz, son in-law Larry Bowers, daughter, Pamela Hurley, brother Michael (Lisa) Klotz, 5 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

He was welcomed on the other side by his parents Marjorie and Virgil Klotz; brother Thomas Klotz, grandson Devin Doty and daughter, Tammy Bowers.

The service for David will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805, with visitation will be one hour prior.

Burial: Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN.

Memorial donations can be made in David's name to Riley Hospital for Children or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
