September 29, 1940 – September 28, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of David M. Perrey, who left us on September 28, 2025, just shy of his 85th birthday. Born on September 29, 1940, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, David was an integral part of his community and will be dearly missed.
David lived a full life, dedicating many years to working in general labor within the manufacturing industry. He was a proud veteran, having served in the US Army. His time in service and the values he carried from it shaped the man he became.
Family meant everything to David. On June 10, 1967, he married the love of his life Marsha S. (Yun) Perrey. He is survived by his children, Lisa (Javon) Bryant, Robert O'Leary, Michael (Nancy) O'Leary, Catherine Fisher, Patricia (Herman) Berghoff, Susan O'Leary, Annrita Chappell. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandson, as well as a sister Mary Nawrocki. David was preceded in death by his wife Marsha S. Perrey, Brothers Daniel Perrey, Rusty Perrey, brother-in-law Stanton Nawrocki and parents Marcel Perrey, Agnes Perrey.
A Funeral Mass will take place at Saint Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46819, on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 10:00 am. There will be an hour prior visitation. Following the Mass, he will be laid to rest at the Catholic Cemetery with a graveside service that will include military honors by the US Army. A public visitation will be held at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 5:00pm-700pm.

David's journey may have come to an end, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his kindness, laughter, and the warm presence he brought to our lives. May he rest in peace.
