Deborah Sue Roehm (Hullinger), age 71, known to her family and friends as Deb, passed away at home on September 23, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Robert Edward Roehm II, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage.

Deb was a genuine, loving, generous, and wonderfully eccentric woman who had a gift for making people laugh. She was never short on a big idea or a creative vision-and somehow, she usually managed to bring it to life.

An artist of many mediums, Deb studied art at the University of St. Francis and found particular joy in quilting. She created beautiful quilts for her children and grandchildren and owned Fabrics and Friends Quilt Shop in Roanoke, Indiana. She loved animals of almost every kind, especially dogs, and had a generous heart that extended to both people and animals.

From the time her children were young, Deb instilled in them the importance of Christianity and knowing Christ. Her faith became an important part of the foundation she gave her family and a lasting part of her legacy.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; her children, Solitaire (Jason) Hile, Sabrina (Josh) Sgro, Stacey (Heath) Keiffer, Robert (Martha) Roehm and Clifford (Megan) Roehm; 34 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Judy Hullinger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Ruth Hullinger; her daughter, Seleste Shelton; her grandson, Gabriel Shelton; and two brothers, Gary and Mike Hullinger, and sister-in-law Diane Hullinger.

Deb will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She leaves behind beautiful quilts, creative works, laughter, big ideas, and most importantly, generations of people who knew they were deeply loved.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 1:00-4:00 P.M. at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 1986 Cedar Canyons Road, Huntertown, Indiana 46748.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Daniel Scheidt at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, September 28, 2026, at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 1502 Wallen Rd. Fort Wayne, Indiana. Recitation of the rosary will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 A.M. in the church gathering area.

Interment will follow in St. Vincent Catholic Cemetery.
