Del John
Ventruella
November 14, 1965 – February 25, 2026
Del John Ventruella, Engineer, MSEE, PE, was 60 yrs old born on November 14,1965. He is preceded in death by his parents Delmar M. and Joan (Pierce) Ventruella. Del excelled as an accomplished engineer.
He is survived by his 4 siblings; Micheale Ventruella & her husband, Gregory L Gross and their son Alexander M. & (Christine)Gross and their 4 children; their daughter Ashley N. Aydin and her 2 daughters; also a brother Mike (Delmar Michael (Cherie) Ventruella Jr ) and their 2 daughters and grand daughter Alayna; a brother, Bryan (Joyce) Ventruella; and a sister Joanie Ventruella and her 2 children Michael (Stephanie) Rhoads and their 4 children; and Jessica Rhoads and her child; cousins, Donald J. (Marianne) Ventruella and their 3 children & Grandchildren; Michael G. (Michelle) Ventruella and their son Anthony; Janice Ventruella (Dana) Hoopingarner.
Del John enjoyed reading books on a variety of subjects and in his spare time he built several musical instruments and took lessons to learn how to play them. Three of the several instruments he built were; Bagpipes, Flute, and Accordion (which he gave to his sister, Micheale for her birthday 10 years ago), and Ukulele for which he wrote the notes for a Christmas music book.
Among Del's many accomplishments was to graduate from Rose Hulman Technical Institute, Terre Haute, IN with his BSEE degree in 1988. Remaining in engineering Del graduated from the University of Alabama, Birmingham With his MSEE degree. Del John's most recent employment was with Wright Patterson AFB maintaining their high voltage use.
And to end this tribute to his accomplished life a story; Years ago Del came home for Christmas. Normally he stayed with his parents in their home in Fort Wayne, Indiana. But this time was different. He decided to stop first at his sister, Micheale's, home. He brought entertainment with him. And soon "it" was heard throughout her house as her husband, Greg, came home from work and asked , "What's that sound?!!" That sound was Del. Playing his bagpipes. He had recently built and took lessons to learn how to play them. Oh boy!!!……
There will be a graveside service Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11:00am, held at Catholic Cemetery, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805
Goodnight Sweet Brother. May God's angels who were sent to retrieve your dear soul give you to your mom and Mother Mary for them to escort you to Jesus who will forgive you your sins.
