Diana "Diane" M. (Bonkoski) Stabler, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Christmas morning, December 25, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital surrounded by her family. She was 70 years old.

Diane was born on July 7, 1954, to Margaret "Marge" and James Bonkoski. She was one of 5 children. Diane married her high school sweetheart, Don Stabler, on October 21, 1972. Diane said just days before passing that 52 years just wasn't enough time with her beloved husband. Together they raised 4 children: Ronnie, Donald, Jimmy, and Zach.

Diane was a graduate of Garrett High School. Diane worked for many years at Lincoln Life Insurance before she moved to finish out her career at Swiss Re as an Assistant Vice President. Diane was the kind of person who would always put her family and friends before herself and was thrilled to do it. She would always cook a feast for Football Sunday! She loved spending time at the campground and sitting around the campfire with her friends and family. She loved to laugh! But her favorite thing in the world was spending time taking care of her grandkids, Kaitlin, Allyson, Breanna, Rylee, Isaac, Elijah, Gemma, Chase, and Bryce. Her grandkids were so lucky to be loved by such amazing grandparents! She was truly the best!

Diane is preceded in death by her husband, Don; her parents, Marge and James; and sister, Judy (Bonkoski) Meyer. She is survived by her children, Veronica Emmett, Donald J. (Courtney) Stabler, James (Ashley) Stabler, and Zachary (Natalie) Stabler; her 9 grandchildren; 2 sisters; 1 brother; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805, with visits beginning at 9:30 am. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
