Richard E. Love, 82, of Fort Wayne, died Friday September 27, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Dick was born in Fort Wayne on March 31, 1942, the son of (the late) Eugene and Mary Catherine (Krouse) Love. He graduated from Central Catholic High School with the Class of '60 and went on to earn his degree from International Business College. Dick served his country with honor in the US Army and was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam Conflict. He married Janet (Houser) Love on June 17, 1972, and she preceded him in death on September 21, 2018, after 46 years of marriage. Dick is survived by his sisters, Jyl Strand of Columbia City, Roxanne (Jim) Firks of Coldwater MI and several nieces & nephews. Dick is also survived by sisters-in-law, Mary Ratliff and Pat (Tim) Kerlin, both of Fort Wayne.

Dick retired in 2005 as a route salesman for Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. after 35 years with the company. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and the Fort Wayne Elks Lodge No. 155. He was an avid golfer, hockey fan, and enjoyed playing bridge, but his greatest joy was the time he spent with his family; he will be greatly missed.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am Saturday October 5, 2024, in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd, with visitation from 9:30-10:30am in the church.

Rosary on Friday at 3:30pm, followed by visitation from 4-8pm at Divine Mercy-Lake Avenue Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. Dick will be laid to rest in Catholic Cemetery with military honors.
