Donald E. Mosure, Jr., 85, of New Haven and The Villages FL, died Monday September 28, 2026, at Coventry Meadows in Fort Wayne. Don was born in Fort Wayne on December 1, 1940, the son of the late Donald E. Mosure, Sr. and Edna (Trenary) Mosure. He graduated from South Side High School with the Class of ’59 and on August 19, 1960, he married Jane Kay (Weidner) Mosure. Kay survives, along with their children, sons Chuck (Monica) Mosure of New Haven and Steve (Kim Mestel) Mosure of Sarasota FL, and their grandchildren, Colton Mosure and Weston Mosure, both of New Haven.

In addition to his parents, Don was also preceded in death by his sisters, Yvonne Zimpelman and Vickie Helleckson.

Don was employed by GE Aircraft in International Shipping; he retired in 1995 after 30 years with the company. He was a member of St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church and was devout in his faith. He was active with the New Haven Jaycees and was an avid fan of Notre Dame football. After retirement from GE, he and Kay moved to The Villages, Florida and were active members of St. Timothy Catholic Church in Lady Lake, Don often volunteered at their food bank. Don was kind, gentle and loving, and devoted to his family. He was a good husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.

There are no services currently scheduled, however a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a future date. Arrangements were through Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne.
