Donald J. Tippmann, 90, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday September 16, 2025. Don was born in Gary on March 6, 1935, the third of 16 children born to (the late) Lawrence and Mary (Cross) Tippmann. He married Marie (Bouchard) Tippmann in Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre, Quebec in1970 and she preceded him in death in 2023 after 53 years of marriage. Don was also preceded by brothers, Fr. Larry, Tony, Robert, Joseph, Thomas, Dennis, Vincent and Eugene Tippmann; sisters, Carol (Paul) Eisaman, Sally Ley and Mary Ann (Ed) Bobay.

He is survived by his sons, Mark Tippmann of Las Vegas NV and Joe Tippmann of Fort Wayne; brother, John (Jackie) Tippmann; sisters, Ginney (Dave) Perkins, Helen (Mac) McCarthy and Nancy (Steve) Henry, all of Fort Wayne; sisters-in-law, Barbara, Lois, Mary Lawrence, Mary Beth, Laurel, and Marilyn Tippmann; brother-in-law, Rick Ley, all of Fort Wayne, and many nieces & nephews. Don retired as a Researcher for the Criminal Courts with the City of Detroit. He was a member of St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church; he enjoyed travelling with his wife, especially cruises. He was an avid reader who also enjoyed genealogy, birds, and tinkering with his 'gadgets'.

Funeral Mass 10:30am Friday September 19, 2025, in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd. with visitation from 9:30-10:30am in the church. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
