DONALD PATRICK HUARD, 66, of Monroeville, Ind., passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, in his home surrounded by family. Don was a construction contractor and man of character who built a family business; Donald P. Huard Construction, with his uncle James Pallick of Fort Wayne. Huard Construction primarily serviced customers in Northeast Indiana and the surrounding area for over 38 years. He prided himself in quality work at a reasonable price and employed many family members and friends over the years. Don was born in Williams County Ohio and is one of eight children, and a son of Michael and Patricia Huard. Don is survived by his wife, Lois Huard of Monroeville Ind.; three brothers, Darrell (Marcella) Huard of Bryan, Ohio, Danny Huard of Ney, Ohio, and James (Ivy) Huard of West Haven, Ct.; two sisters, Susie (Brad) Brout of Angola, Ind., and Tricia (Jason) Huard of Edgerton, OH.; three sons, Benton (Teresa) Huard of Auburn, Ind., Justin (Crystal) Huard of Convoy, Ohio, and Harry (Rosie) Huard of Monroeville, Ind.; one daughter, Chasity Torres of Somerset, Ky.; 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Huard formerly of New York, N.Y.; and sister, Sandy (Donnie) Miller formerly of Stryker, Ohio. A Celebration of Life is 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2023, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with visitation two hours prior to service.
