Dorothy C. Schott, 96, of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at her residence.

She was born on July 2, 1927 in Carthagena, Ohio to the late Henry and Theresia (Homan) Kunkler.

In 1949 she married the love of her life, Robert A. Schott.

Dorothy was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church and was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking and gardening.

She is survived by her children, John Schott, Michael (Barb) Schott, Ann (Mike) Heglas, and Robert Schott Jr; siblings, Henry (Ruth) Kunkler, and Virginia Heitkamp; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were her husband, Robert Schott Sr.; son, James Schott; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1500 West State Blvd., Fort Wayne. Calling will be Tuesday January 9, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne with a Prayer Vigil Beginning at 10:50 a.m. Burial will follow mass at Catholic Cemetery.
