My love to Joe's family. Holding you close in prayer. I am thankful for Joe - he helped me hurdle over lots of fear that was instilled as a little girl at the dentist. Over the years - he let me care for his kids and that was very special. Always loved his quick wit and confidence. Thankful and will miss him - and planning to see him again... Peace to your hearts.

I cherish the memories of the hundreds of lunches we were together at Nick's Kitchen in Huntington, debating politics, sharing news of our children's accomplishments and challenges, discussing the latest book we were reading, pulling the atlas off the shelf to locate a recent trip (or to challenge one another) , sharing family concerns, etc. In other words, Joe was a very special friend who will be missed dearly after knowing him for the past 44 years .PS:he was also a damn good dentist! I still have all my teeth.

I learned today, with great sadness, of the passing of my dear classmate from Brunnerdale Seminary. I remember Joseph as a brilliant student with a wry sense of humor. We all knew that he was destined for greatness in whatever he pursued. The list of his accomplishments and the many family members that he left behind are a tribute to that greatness and a life well lived. Bill Hogan, Brunnerdale Seminary, Class of 1964

Dr. Joe as a wonderful man, a true professional, leader and friend. We shared many moments together socially and in dentistry as well as representing organized dentistry through the Isaac Knapp District Dental Society and the Indiana Dental Association. His friendship was held in the highest regard. He will be missed. Our sympathy to all the family..
