Edward Francis Morken II, age 73, of Columbia City, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026, in his home surrounded by his family. He had owned and operated Morken Roofing for more than forty-five years and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Arcola. Ed enjoyed Sci-Fi Movies, card playing, smoking a good cigar, listening to classic rock, watching old western movies and deep-sea fishing in Florida. He also was a fan of Notre Dame and Indianapolis Colts football and enjoyed watching golf. Spending time with friends in his garage was enjoyable and most all the time he spent with family was most important to him.

Edward Francis Morken II was born on June 13, 1953, the son of John E. and Phyllis A. (Eckles) Morken. He married Deborah S. Cole-Walton on November 18, 1978, in Fort Wayne and she survives.

Also surviving are a daughter Erin Elizabeth Morken, of Fort Wayne; two sons, Joe (Ariel) Morken and Edward Francis (Madison) Morken III, both of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Jordyn Morken, Sunny Morken, Ella Beale, and Phaedra Morken; his siblings, Susan (Eric) Olanski, Nancy Gibson, Sally (Tim) Walter, Vince (Deborah) Morken, and Peggy (Keith) Dray, all of Fort Wayne; Patty (Graham) Todd, of Indianapolis, and Carol (Rex) Moehring, of Noblesville. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John Morken, and a sister, Joan Yoder.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 3:00-7:00 P.M. in Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne. Recitation of the rosary will be held at 2:30 P.M. prior to the visitation.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Patrick Catholic Church 12305 Arcola Road, Fort Wayne.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service beginning at 9:30 A.M. in the church.

Interment will be Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial are requested in the form of Masses, Tunnels to Towers or Allen County Canine.
