Eileen Agnes Henry, age 87, of New Haven, IN passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at St. Anne's Home. Born November 6, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Isabella (Weller) Harber. Eileen was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. She worked at Kwik Lok for 20 years until her retirement in 1997. On November 19, 1960, Eileen married the love of her life, Norbert Henry. They were together for 50 years until his passing in 2011. When not working, Eileen enjoyed word search puzzles and exercising at home. She loved her family and especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Faith was important to Eileen, and she was devout in her beliefs. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Haven where she attended daily Mass. She also was very devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and to Mary the Mother of God.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Germaine "Geri" (Robert) Wilson, Jane (Patrick) Huber, and Rita (Tom) Burchardt; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill and Jim Harber; sisters, Rosalie Walden and Regina Romary; and numerous extended family. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert Henry; her parents; brother, Giles Harber; and infant siblings, Laverne, Joseph, Mary, and Larry Harber.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers Street, New Haven, IN 46774 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805 with a Rosary recited at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery, New Haven. Memorials can be written to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven for Mass Intentions and to St. Anne Home for activities in Eileen's name.
