Enio N. Diaz, age 92, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026, in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born in Colombia, South America to the late Buenaventura and Alejandrina Diaz.

Enio was a radio host/DJ in Colombia before moving to the United States. He was drafted and served in the U.S. Army for two years. He then went back to Colombia to marry the love of his life, and they settled in Fort Wayne, Indiana to build a family together. Enio was a dedicated family man who opened his home to many extended family members. He had an enduring love of dogs. He had a deep passion for history and different cultures, which he cultivated by traveling. Through his gift of storytelling, he made friends wherever he went.

Enio is survived by his wife, Sophia Diaz of Fort Wayne, Indiana, his children, Brian Diaz of Greenwood, Indiana, Scott Diaz of Astoria, NY, and Deborah Diaz of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was also preceded in death by his son Kevin David Diaz, and two siblings Virginia Hernandez and Lilia Baez.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805 with visitation for friends and family from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A committal service will follow with military honors rendered at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
