Erica Mallett, 75, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, after a battle with chronic illness's in Fort Wayne. She was born in Fort Wayne and her family moved to Missouri. In her formative years she worked at the family business "Fisher's HI-BOY" while she attended high school and college. She later returned to Fort Wayne to be closer to her parents and began a career in the insurance industry. Erica was into crafts and as the world changed, her interest in the types of crafts changed. She loved to cook family meals and having gatherings with her grandchildren around the pool. Her family was her world and will be deeply missed.

Erica is survived by her husband Larry Mallett; daughter Carrie Nichter, son Jason Long and her grandchildren and great grandchildren, She is also survived by her step-daughter Lori Russell and step-son Michael Mallett and their children; brother Peter Schuelzky and his son.

Erica is preceded in death by her parents Fredrick and Marilyn Schuelzky, and brother Fredrick Schuelzky.

Services will be at 12 noon Friday, March 28, 2025 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior.

Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN.
