Eugene M.
Lefavour
August 13, 1930 – January 17, 2025
Eugene M. LeFavour, "Moe", of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 94. Born August 13, 1930 in Marion, Indiana to George and Jennie LeFavour, Moe enjoyed his long life in Fort Wayne, and in Ellenton, Florida during retirement. Preceded in death by Violet, beloved wife of 48 years, brother George LeFavour Jr. of Marion, Indiana, and sister Dee Reed of Littleton, Colorado. Moe is survived by his children Steve LeFavour, Sallie (Dale) Bricker, Sue (beloved Steve) Reidhaar, all of Fort Wayne, and Scott (Gina) LeFavour of The Woodlands, Texas. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Moe was a US Navy reservist, captain of the Fort Wayne Police Department with 23 years of service, and warehouse manager at Pepsi, retiring in 1992. Moe was a junior national champion in archery, enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and was an avid bowler and golfer with two hole-in-ones. Moe was a lifelong fan of Indiana University basketball and Notre Dame football. In retirement, Moe found joy driving cars for O'Daniel and Preferred Auto, sitting outdoors, and spending time with family. We will miss his sense of humor, police stories, and complaining about cars driving too fast down Cambridge Boulevard. The family wants to thank Saint Anne's, Kingston At Dupont, and Nan at Stillwater Hospice, who showed Moe respect and love. Funeral services include a time of visitation at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN, from 3-5:00 pm & 6-8:00 pm on Thursday, January 30, 2025 and a funeral services at 11:00 am with an hour prior visitation on Friday, January 31, 2025.
