Evelyn Ann Potts, age 90, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away peacefully on Monday, June8, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born on October 15, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Susan (Kostavol) Halahan. While out with her sisters one evening, Evelyn met Bill Potts. They were married on September 13, 1957. They spent 47 wonderful years together building their life and watching their family grow until Bill’s passing in 2004.

Evelyn enjoyed being outside in the sunshine and socializing with friends. For many years she worked out twice a week with a personal trainer, and continued riding her exercise bike the remainder of her life. She also loved to shop, which was reflected in her signature bright and colorful wardrobe. All of these things combined with her constant youthful spirit, made her unlike many 90 year olds. Above all, she loved her family, and she treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church for over 25 years. Devout in her beliefs, Evelyn prayed daily, often to St. Anthony.

Evelyn’s profound absence from the lives of her friends and family will be felt every day. Those that had the privilege of truly knowing her will miss her today and always. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kimberly Wagner; granddaughters, Alexandria Wagner and Adriana (Isaac) Berg; great-granddaughters, Genevieve Celeste and Iris Evelyn; and numerous nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Potts; her parents; 9 siblings; and son-in-law, Robert “Bob” Wagner.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46815 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
