Fernando Jose Heredia, 52, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday August 20, 2026 at Lutheran Hospital. He was born in Fort Wayne on October 27, 1973.

Survivors include his parents, Pete and Lucy Heredia; brothers, Frank Heredia and Gilberto (Maria) Heredia and sister, Nina Vergara, all of Fort Wayne, and several nieces & nephews and great-nieces & nephews.

Nando attended Mass at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church; he was a sports fan, especially of the St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed listening to music, favoring classic rock. His greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his family & friends, and he especially enjoyed family get-togethers.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00pm Friday August 28, 2026 in the Chapel at St. Anne’s, 1900 Randallia Dr. with visitation from 1-2pm in the chapel. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
