January 26, 1933 – June 14, 2024
Florence 'Flo' Elizabeth (Coleman) Mauch, 91, of Fort Wayne passed away Friday, June 14, 2024 surrounded by her family. Flo was born January 26, 1933 in Royal Center, IN and graduated from Royal Center High School in 1951 as Valedictorian. She then graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in Education and her master's degree from St. Francis College. Flo retired after 25 years of service from Fort Wayne Community Schools where she taught kindergarten and second grade for Southern Heights School. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and taught Religious Education at St. Henry's and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Flo assisted in providing food for families in need and funeral dinners.
Flo enjoyed playing golf with Don and her friends. She was most happy to play games with the family while serving endless snacks. Flo and Don also loved having happy hours with good friends and family. She was an avid IU fan and thoroughly enjoyed watching sporting events of her kids and grandkids
Flo is survived by four sons, Greg (Vesta) Mauch of Wolcottville, IN, Paul (Kelly) Mauch of Fort Wayne, IN, Tom (Kay) Mauch of West Lafayette, IN, Bill (Jennie) Mauch of Loveland, OH; 10 grandchildren, Christopher, Jason, Kelli, Kyle, Nakao, Christie, Ben, Joe, Andy and Brian; 8 great-grandchildren, Coleman, Landon, Eliana, Oliver, Aubrey, Charlotte, Ellie and Annie.
Flo was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Donald John Mauch; parents, Harold and Bernardine Coleman; brothers, Ed and Tom Coleman; sisters, Mary Ann McLeland and Arnetta Hanawalt.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Monday, June 24, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Road with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held Sunday, June 23, 2024, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm with a Rosary service at 3:30 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN.
