Obituary

Frank Edward Yanko, age 89, of Woodburn, IN passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Frank honorably served his country in the United States Army. He worked as an Engineer for International Harvester in Fort Wayne. Frank enjoyed woodworking, woodcarving, hunting and fishing. His beautiful carvings have been passed on to his family who treasure them.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jackie (Scott) Hoopfer of Woodburn and Frank (Cheryl) Yanko of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Barron. Frank was preceded in death by his wife and best friend, Maryann Yanko; son, Tim Yanko; his parents, James and Rose Yanko; and his sister, Stella LaMonica.

A Celebration of Frank's Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805 with visitation for friends and family one hour prior. Frank will be privately interred at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Fond memories and condolences can be left at www.divinemercyfuneralhome.com for the family.
