Fred Yoakum Jr., age 84, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.  Born November 29, 1940, he was the son of the late Fred Sr. and Olif (Wilson) Yoakum.  In 1960, Fred married the love of his life, Grace (Miracle).  They spent 63 wonderful years together until Gracie's passing in 2023.  Fred worked for Protective Coatings in Fort Wayne for over 40 years until finally retiring in 2025.  When not working, he enjoyed simply being with his beloved dog.  Fred also liked doing yardwork and could often be found diligently mowing and trimming his yard.  He also could be found tinkering with his car, watching his favorite television program, Goldrush, or enjoying donuts (his absolute favorite food).  Above all, he loved his family and cherished the time he spent with his daughter and grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Lois (Bud) Wesner; grandchildren, Jacob (Ariel) Wesner, Josh (Ashlie) Wesner, and Vanessa Wesner; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Marissa, and Katelyn Wesner; sisters, Evelyn Martin and Glady Beeler; brother, JC Yoakum Sr.; and a host of nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Ann Yoakum; his parents; sister, Juanita Rutherford; brother, Johnny Yoakum; and grandson, Brandon Wesner.
