It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gail P. Bunt, who left us peacefully on December 13, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on June 13, 1939, in New York to Milton H. and Edna (Appleby) Van Patten. Gail was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. On April 27th, 1958, she married Arthur Bunt. After moving to Fort Wayne, Indiana, she spent her life as a devoted homemaker, and worked alongside her husband in his homebuilding business.  Gail will always be remembered for making cherished memories with her family and friends.

Gail is survived by her sons, Arthur (Carol) and Ronald (Debra) Bunt; her grandchildren, Carmen (Bob) Snowball, Brandon (Elizabeth) Bunt, Lindsey (Blake) Tippmann, Broqsten (Peyton) Bunt, Chanel (Jon) Lain, Larsen (Tabatha) Bunt, along with 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Marge Bunt. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, and her parents.

A Funeral Mass will be held in her honor at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46825, on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM. There will be a one-hour prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation at Divine Mercy Funeral Home-Cedar Canyons, 1986 W. Cedar Canyons Rd., Huntertown, IN, 46748, on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 PM, where a Rosary will be prayed at 3:45 PM.
