Gerald L. "Jerry" Ohneck, 81, of Huntertown, Indiana passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at his residence with his wife and daughter by his side.

He was born on March 13, 1943, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Wilbert and Mae (Sommers) Ohneck.

After joining the Marine Corps and serving over four years he discharged as a Sergent E5.

On February 5, 1972, in Kendallville, Indiana he married Debra G. Chrzan, the love of his life for 53 years.

He was employed by BF Goodrich/Michelin in management and retired after nearly 40 years of service.

Surviving with his wife is his one daughter, Lisa Ohneck, who he adored and resides in Huntertown.

Gerald has a brother Kevin Ohneck who resides in Tennessee with his wife Claudia.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Bobay and one brother, Timothy Ohneck.

Gerald enjoyed listening to music, woodworking, model railroading, traveling with his family and watching all the expansions taking place in downtown Fort Wayne and surrounding communities.

Family and friends may visit from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm Friday, March 21, 2025, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home-Cedar Canyons, 1986 W. Cedar Canyons Rd, Huntertown, Indiana. There will be Military Honors provided by the US Marines Corp. to close out the visitation.

A celebration of life will be held with family and friends at a later date.
