Germaine "Gerry" O'Daniel, 91, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024. Born on July

18, 1932, in Bay City, MI. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Rose (Tarkowski) Laskowski, and

sister to Tom, Allan, and Terry Laskowski; and Clare Strzeleski. She received her nursing degree from

Hurley Medical College in Flint, Michigan. She and Maurice spent over 65 years together, building a life

and watching their family grow. Gerry was a dedicated homemaker, raising her six children. She loved

volunteering at Matthew 25 and Christ Child Society of Fort Wayne. Faith was important to her, and she

remained active in the Catholic church and faith. Above all, Gerry loved her family, and cherished the

time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by family and

friends alike. Gerry is survived by her sons, Randy (Mary Ann), Jeff (Sheila), and Greg (Laura) O'Daniel,

all of Fort Wayne, and Andrew (Susan) O'Daniel,of Littleton, CO; daughters, Susan (Todd) Henderson, of

Littleton, CO, and Debra (Jerry) Lamb of Evansville, IN; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She

was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice O'Daniel; her parents; and brother, Jack Laskowski.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Divine Mercy Funeral

Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne (46805) with a Rosary beginning at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian

Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church,

7215 Saint Joe Road, Fort Wayne (46835), with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow mass at Divine

Mercy Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be written to Matthew 25.
