Gigi Maria Weber, age 60, of Big Lake in Columbia City, IN passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born on September 10, 1963, in Montreal, Quebec Canada, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Elizabeth (Canant) Barile. Gigi moved to Indiana as a child and considered it her true home. In her younger years, she worked at Bosch Kautex as a shipping supervisor. Later, she was the proud owner and operator of Tiki Hut Tanning in North Manchester and was also the owner of T&G Property Preservation, which she started in 2010. When not working, Gigi enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, and crafting. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, who were her whole world. She also had a special place in her heart for the many dogs that she owned over the years. Gigi will be remembered as a wonderful friend, the kind that "showed up for people when they truly needed her." She will also be remembered as a hard worker and a true leader. Gigi was also a woman of faith who loved and knew Jesus. Her feisty personality will be missed by family and friends alike. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Terry (Emily) Weber Jr. and Randy Weber; grandchildren, Tyler, Devon, Paul, Hailey, Colton, and Levi Weber; Angela (Jeremy) Patton, who was like a daughter to Gigi; and Zane Greene, whom she considered a grandson. Gigi was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Renia Barile. A Time of Remembrance will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805 with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Gigi will be laid to rest at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
