Gloria R. Nelson, 94, of Fort Wayne, received her Angel's Wings from God on Friday January 24, 2025. Gloria was born in Fort Wayne on January 26, 1930, the daughter of the late William H. and Evelyn (Koehler) Reyer. After graduating from Central Catholic with the Class of '48, Gloria married and raised 3 children. She was employed at City Utilities, later Indiana Michigan Power, from where she retired after 42 years with the companies. Gloria enjoyed travelling; London, England; Rome, Italy; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; as well as numerous places in the United States, but they especially enjoyed the old cottage at Papakeechie Lake.

Gloria will always be affectionately remembered as a caring and loving mother by her family; and full spirited by her dear friends. She held a deep love for her children and family.

She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Sue Lamley; her sister, Beverly Howe, along with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren, and her nieces & nephews.

Gloria will be laid to rest with her family at Catholic Cemetery with arrangements through Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. A gathering is being planned for a later date, to celebrate her lifetime of caring & giving.
