Jack V. Kitzmiller Jr., 81, of New Haven, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025.

He was born on October 19, 1943 in Fort Wayne to the late Jack and Bonnie (Howenstine) Kitzmiller.

Jack honorably answered his country's called and served in the United States Navy.

He was a graduate of Purdue University.

On October 29, 1966 at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Fort Wayne, he married the love of his life, Frances "Eileen" Michaels.

Mr. Kitzmiller retired from Indiana and Michigan Power as a Lineman.

Together with his wife, Eileen, they were members of Saint Henry's Catholic Church. Jack was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

In his free time, Jack enjoyed playing on the computer and listening to music. He was proud to coach at Saint Henry's. Jack will be fondly remembered for his love of Purdue, especially Purdue Basketball.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen; children, Lisa (Jimmy) Orta and Christine (Pat) Riley; grandchildren, Jesse, Mallory, Payge, Gabriella, Gracyn, and Jack; 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lynn Swygart.

Also preceding him in death were great-grandchildren, Drew and Savannah; and a sister, Sue Beck.

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Saint Henry's Catholic Church, Fort Wayne with Calling one hour prior. Calling will also be on Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne with the recitation of the Most Holy Rosary at 3:45 p.m. Burial will follow at Catholic Cemetery.
