James L. Jarvis, 82, of Fort Wayne died January 20, 2019. James was born to the late Leon and Beatrice Jarvis on February 11, 1936 in Chattanooga, TN. He was a member of Cathedral of Immaculate Conception and volunteered at St. Andrews Soup Kitchen. James served proudly in the Army the United States Marine Corp. James is survived by his wife Sharon Jarvis; Daughters, Belle Jarvis, Andrea (Richard) McBride and Bernadette (John) Gehle; Son, Brian (Denise) W. Jarvis; Brother, Michael Jackson; Sister, Patricia Jackson. James was preceded in death by his Daughter, Cheryl Jarvis; Brother, Robert Jarvis and Great-grandson, Kayden Meeks . Funeral Service will be 10 am, Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave with calling one hour prior. Visitation will be held Monday, January 28, 2019, 2pm – 4pm & 6pm – 8pm With a rosary at 3:30pm. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrews Soup Kitchen and the SPCA.
