James "Jim" L. Kerslake, 66, of Ft. Wayne died May 8, 2024 at Stillwater Hospice, Ft. Wayne. Jim was born October 24, 1957 in Ft. Wayne. He was a 1976 graduate of Bishop Luers High School. Jim was in quality assurance at Auburn Foundry for 33 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his buddies and family. Jim is survived by a brother, Daniel (Barbara) McMaken; sisters, Julia (Rick) Lynch, Mary Beth (Tom) Barnhart and Kay Phelps and several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Birnelle Kerslake. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd. with calling one hour prior. Calling also 4 to 7 pm Monday, May 13, 2024, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, with the rosary at 3:30 pm. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc. or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
