Obituary

Janet Irene (Geller) Conrad of Fort Wayne, Indiana was born July 12, 1942 to Robert and Dolores Geller, passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on May 26, 2026.

Janet is survived by her beloved daughter, Jamie (Aaron) Jacquay, her three granddaughters Hannah Jacquay, Amber Jacquay and Piper Jacquay and a great grandson Easton Jacquay. She is also survived by her brother Alan (Dana) Geller all of whom are from Fort Wayne, IN and an uncle, Jim (Susan) Cartwright of Muncie IN. She is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley D. Conrad also of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Janet enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved and enjoyed playing card and board games, doing arts and crafts and playing outside with her granddaughters as they grew up. She loved watching them when they participated in sporting events, recitals and awards ceremonies. She was also so great at giving an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on when anybody needed one. She also loved watching her great grandson grow from a little baby to GiGi’s smartest, cutest and silliest little boy. He always loved going to see his GiGi and playing with her.

Janet also enjoyed spending time with her family in Arizona. She loved being out in the sun, camping in the mountains and playing the slot machines whenever they would take a visit over to Vegas. She also loved renting a cabin at the lake for a week or two so that she could sit and relax and do some fishing. She loved going to the beach, sitting poolside or on the sand and taking a dip in the ocean. She was a fierce Cubs baseball and Indiana Hoosiers basketball fan. Janet enjoyed cooking and baking especially with her granddaughters. She enjoyed warm weather, dancing, bowling, playing softball, planting flowers and gardening. She was also a big animal lover.

To have known her was to love her. She was a great daughter, sister, wife and friend but an even greater mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
