Janet Ellen
Oxley
June 27, 1965 – February 8, 2025
Janet Ellen Oxley, 59, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025.
She was born in Fort Wayne to the late Donald and Marjorie (Jehl) Boneff on June 27, 1965.
On January 4, 1992, in Fort Wayne, Janet married the love of her life, Dean A. Oxley. Together they raised three wonderful children, Marianne, Isadore, and Claire. The family continued to blossom, adding two beautiful grandchildren, Wesley and James.
Janet worked as a Registered Nurse at both Lutheran and Dupont Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. It was clear to anyone who crossed paths with Janet, her passion was Nursing, Caring for Neonatal Infants, and educating their families. Janet was always known for meeting people where they were, empowering them with the tools they were given. Perhaps her most noble quality, she could always find the good in people.
She and Dean were members of Saint Therese Catholic Church.
In her free time, Janet enjoyed shopping, dogs, and spoiling her grandsons. She will most fondly be remembered for her loving a caring nature, always putting her family first, and ensuring they were taken care of.
