Obituary

Janice Ann Pac, age 77, passed away at her home in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

Born on May 8, 1947, in South Bend, Indiana, Janice was the daughter of John B. Palmer, Jr. and Dorothy (Lauer) Palmer. After graduating from Central Catholic High School in Fort Wayne, she pursued her passion for nursing at St. Joseph School of Nursing, where she earned her RN degree.

Janice began her career at St. Joseph Hospital, where her love for children led her to specialize in pediatrics. She later continued her dedication to children's health at a local pediatrician's office and spent the final twenty years of her career at Fort Wayne Pediatrics, where her compassionate spirit touched countless lives.

A talented craftswoman, Janice especially loved quilting, creating beautiful works of art stitched with love and care. However, her greatest joy was her family, particularly her beloved grandchildren. She was their biggest fan, attending their sports games and activities, cheering louder than anyone from the sidelines, and cherishing every moment spent together.

Janice's infectious laugh, deep faith in God, and unwavering love for her family will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Gregory L. Pac; her children, Brian James (Melissa) Pac, Sara Jean (James C.) Edmonds, and Kevin Michael (Michaela) Pac; and her ten cherished grandchildren: Ethan, Andrew, Owen, Elijah, Ella, Lydia, Reid, Jacob, Emma, and Elsie. She is also survived by her siblings: Jean (Ronald) Schug, Thomas (Mary) Palmer, John (Julie) Palmer, James (Kathleen) Palmer, Donald (Glenda) Palmer, Robert Palmer, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 3-5 pm and 6-8 pm at Divine Mercy Funeral Home – Cedar Canyons, 1986 W. Cedar Canyons Rd., Huntertown, with a Rosary prayed at 2:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Rd., Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior.
