Jennifer Roussel was born on March 16th, 1974. She graduated from Northrop High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and the University of Indianapolis where she played on their golf team. After college, Jennifer pursued her passion in criminal law at the Allen County Probation Office as a Pre-sentence Investigator. She met the love of Her life, Mark Roussel in 1997, and accepted his proposal near the grotto at the University of Notre Dame in 2000. Jen and Mark were married in Fort Wayne, Indiana on September 29th, 2001. Jen then transitioned her career to help support their family business, Roussel Concrete Construction Inc., where she served as their office manager for over 20 years.

In their 23-year marriage, they welcomed four beautiful children. Jennifer was a fierce and loving mother, wife, and friend who brought joy to everyone she met. When asked to describe her key traits, she was independent, intelligent, loving, loyal, entrepreneurial, resourceful, scrappy, devout, funny, mischievous and beautiful, top the list. To know her was a privilege marked with laughter, witty exchanges and stories that will remain in our hearts forever. Her journey on this earth was met with many challenges, but she faced them all with her trademark humor, courage and resilience.

She remained devout in her faith, and an example of perseverance and love for her family as she endured a 13-year battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her devoted husband Mark, daughters Isabella and Bianca, and son Spencer, brother Mike Derringer (Bethany), and many extended family and lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her much beloved and missed son Samuel Bennett Louis Roussel in 2007. We celebrate her reuniting with her son, in the presence of Jesus.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00-8:00pm on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home-Cedar Canyons, 1986 W. Cedar Canyons Rd., Huntertown, IN. There will also be a visitation for one hour prior to the mass, held at 11:30 am on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 East Wallen Rd., Fort Wayne, IN.
