Obituary

Joan M. Rorick, 79, of New Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday November 22, 2024 at home. She was born in Van Wert OH on February 17, 1945, the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Lautzenheiser) Foster.

Joan was the former owner of New Haven Tanning and also performed and entertained as a clown known as "Lollipop". She was a member of St Louis Besancon Catholic Church, and she enjoyed sewing, crochet, knitting and working crafts. She was also a member of the Maumee Valley Antique Steam & Gas Engine Club.

On November 24, 1979, Joan married John L. Rorick, Sr. who survives along with her children, Katrina Snyder of New Haven, Darrell (Marlo) Snyder of Hazlett MI, John (Deb) Rorick, Jr. of Leo and Linda (Jamie) Kehn of New Palestine; grandchildren, Josh (Tonya) Snyder of Mesa AZ, Ben (Emily) Snyder of Los Angeles CA, Jonah (Leah Rotenbakh) Snyder of Broomfield CO, Jarred Snyder of Detroit MI, Isaac Rorick and Ava Rorick, both of Leo, Malina and Maren Kehn, both of New Palestine, and great-granddaughter Eva Snyder. Joan is also survived by her brother, Raymond (Fran) Foster of Van Wert OH, and sisters, Martha (John) Anderson of Springfield OH, Judy Liggett of Lima OH and Ellen LeMaster of Convoy OH.

In addition to her parents, Joan was also preceded in death by her brother, John Foster and a grandson, Jacob Rorick.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am Tuesday December 3, 2024 in St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church, 15535 Lincolnway East, with visitation from 10-11am in the church. Visitation also on Monday from 4-8pm at Divine Mercy Lake Avenue Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. with the Rosary at 4:00pm. The family's preferred memorial is St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church.
